Police Ask for Our Help

The Prince George’s County Police Department made a quick arrest in the murder of 18-year-old Darius Trey Turner of the 14000 block of Owings Avenue in Brandywine. The suspect is identified as 19-year-old Darryl Sherwood Adamson Jr., of the 4600 block of Sir Woodburn Way in Clinton.  Detectives would like to speak with anyone with information on this case.

On July 27, 2013, at approximately 2:00 am, patrol officers were called to the 6300 block of Coventry Way in Clinton for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, police officers found Turner suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He later died at a local hospital.

The preliminary information reveals the victim was standing outside in a parking lot when a dark-colored car approached.  Adamson was a passenger in the car.  He opened fired from inside the car, hitting Turner.  Detectives are seeking information on that car.  It's described as a dark-colored, four-door sedan with dark tinted windows.
 
Detectives arrested Adamson on July 27, 2013, at his home in Clinton. He is charged with first degree murder and is currently in custody at the Department of Corrections.
